One Seed, Many Fruits
A short moral story for children about love, kindness, and relationships
Aparna watched her son Gaurav arguing with his friend over a game.
They were playing an online tablet game, and both wanted one extra turn.
Soon, their fun turned into a fight.
Aparna stopped them and said gently, “You must love everyone, not fight.”
But Gaurav didn’t listen. He was still upset.
His grandfather, who had been watching quietly, smiled.
The next morning, Grandpa called Gaurav to the garden.
“Will you help me plant a tree for fifteen days?” he asked.
Gaurav agreed happily.
Every day, he watered the small seed, removed weeds, and protected it from birds.
He even made a small scarecrow.
Tiny green leaves began to stretch toward the sunlight.
Every morning, Gaurav checked if it had grown a little more.
After fifteen days, Grandpa said,
“You’ve done well, Gaurav. This plant will grow and give fruits year after year.
You planted one seed, and it will give you many fruits in return.”
He paused and smiled softly.
“When you love people and care for them like this plant, you grow many friendships too.
One act of love creates many happy moments.”
Gaurav finally understood.
He hugged his grandfather and promised to love all and fight with none.
Moral of the Story:
Love all, hate none.
Care for people the way you care for a growing seed — your kindness will return to you many times over.
